Bio
I grew up in a small town in Maine called Brewer, alongside two younger brothers. I started taking dance lessons in the second grade and performed in my first musical at age 10 (in the dazzling role of Town Crier 4 in Cinderella KIDS), then began voice lessons at 14. I performed in dozens of children’s shows at Next Generation Theatre, and eventually became a director for younger kids when I was in high school. I feel so grateful to have been surrounded by incredible teachers and mentors (Tracey and Lexi Marceron, Tina Burns, Sandy and Kristi Sanzaro, Kae Cooney, Lori Spruce, and Emily Michaud) who nurtured my creative spirit and inspired me to pursue a career in the arts. In 2018, I attended Rutgers Summer Acting Conservatory, which cemented my decision to become a “real” actor!
Through the horrors of pandemic-era theatre, I received a BFA in Theatre Performance and minor in French Studies from Salem State University. My time in college gave me a passion for performing classical theatre, as well as the adaptability and creativity to continue creating through challenges. Some of my favorite collegiate credits are The School for Lies (Philinte), Blood Wedding (Mother in Law), and the world premiere of The Thing They Love (Ensemble)
Post-grad, I have performed in companies all over Massachusetts! Recently, I have been seen getting lost as Tourist in a theatrical love-to-hate letter to Boston, T: An MBTA Musical; learning and performing original practice Shakespeare as Oliver in a Shakespeare-in-the-park (or sometimes in the bar) style production of As You Like It with Theatre in the Open; singing and dancing in some ensemble and understudy tracks in A Christmas Carol: the Musical, Beautiful: the Carole King Musical, and Legally Blonde: the Musical with Emerald City Theatrical; and playing Beth March in my all time favorite musical, Little Women, the Broadway Musical at Marblehead Little Theatre.
Later this month, you can catch me singing and tapping in the ensemble, or understudying Bulda, in Emerald City’s production of Frozen!
All of my creative work is done with gratitude to my parents, Mary and Craig, who supported my education and have embraced my career with so much love, and in honor of my departed actor friend, Alyssa June Fluet, whose shine I was privileged to witness and perform beside at Salem State, and whose warmth I was blessed to be held by in the best and worst moments of my early twenties.
Outside of theatre, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ (in a cool, progressive way!), a believer in magic, an equal rights advocate, a mother to the two most perfect cats (Diet Coke and Dolly Parton), a proud big sister to two accomplished young men, a nanny to four wonderfully curious kids, an arts-and-crafter, a puzzler, a continuing student of French, and a lover of New England.
